Uket, Jacob Abam (Olympian Jake).

Uket, Jacob Abam, popularly known as Olympian Jake, is a content creator, social media strategist, digital promoter, and cultural advocate passionate about preserving the history, culture, and heritage of the Ugep people and the African continent. He is the Co-Founder, Executive Director, and Media Manager of the Ugep Digital Museum (Discover Ugep), an initiative dedicated to documenting, preserving, and promoting the history, traditions, notable personalities, and cultural identity of Ugep for present and future generations. Born on 20 October in the 1990s, Uket hails from Egbizum Ikpakapit, Ugep, in Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, Nigeria. He is the son of Mr. Abam Uket Ofem, a retired staff member of the National Population Commission, and Mrs. Obono Abam Uket, a trader from Mpanghi Biko-Biko Ward, Ugep. He is the first of two children and proudly bears the Lejimor "Yakhumiko." Growing up in Ugep nurtured in him a deep appreciation for African values, culture, and community. He attended All Saints Presbyterian Academy, Ugep, and Dr. Okoi Arikpo Memorial Secondary School, Ugep, before earning a Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Science from the Cross River University of Technology (now UNICROSS) in 2017. He completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Gombe State in 2020. Driven by the belief that a people's history is one of their greatest treasures, Uket co-founded the Ugep Digital Museum and continues to lead its growth through strategic vision, media engagement, and community collaboration to promote peace, educate, inspire, and preserve the rich heritage of Ugep. His hobbies include reading, writing, keeping fit, listening to music, spending time in nature, and playing board games such as Chess and Monopoly. His personal motto is: "Memento mori, memento vivere" — "Remember you will die, so remember to live."
