An indigenous person of Umor (Ugep) is traditionally referred to as an Omeme, while the plural form is Yameme.
In the Lokaa language, the plural form is formed by changing the initial “O” of the singular form to “Ya,” producing Yameme from Omeme. The terms therefore serve not only as identifiers of the people but also as examples of the linguistic structure of the Lokaa language.
